ORIGIN
The history of China is one of the oldest continuous civilizations in the world, originating in the Yellow and Yangtze River basins, marked by a system of dynastic cycles (Xia, Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han, etc.) that unified and divided the vast territory, developed technological and philosophical advancements (Confucianism, Taoism), and crucial inventions such as paper, the compass, gunpowder, and silk, culminating in the Chinese Empire and, after the fall of the last dynasty (Qing) in 1911, the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, transforming it into a modern global power.

TRADITIONS
Chinese traditions include important festivals such as the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival), the Dragon Boat Festival, and the Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrations filled with fireworks, special foods, and family gatherings. Other notable customs include a deep respect for elders, the use of the color red for good luck in weddings and celebrations, and dining etiquette such as not sticking chopsticks vertically into the rice and politely declining gifts several times before accepting them.
